Each mosaic is produced with hand-cut double fired French porcelain tesserae which has an impervious matt surface, very similar to the natural stone colours of the Roman and Byzantine mosaics, with the addition of glass (where stated) for vibrancy, mounted on a firm base suitable for indoor wall or tabletop display.
